Had an awesome group trip with friends! We loved the outdoor pool, and the game room kept us entertained for hours. Just remember, the rooms aren't super fancy, but they do the job if you're not spending much time indoors. Check-in was easy and the staff was really friendly.
One downside was the cleanliness. we found some areas a bit dusty and could have used a thorough clean.

I stayed at Captain John Smith Inn for one night and had mixed feelings. The location is really convenient for visiting Colonial Williamsburg. I enjoyed the quick access to attractions. The staff at check-in were friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The pool area looked nice and was a fun spot to relax after a day of sightseeing. I appreciated having a fridge and microwave in the room, which added convenience to my stay. However, the room definitely needed some improvements. It was quite dated and had areas that seemed less than clean. The carpet felt sticky, and the air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool. I noticed some dusty corners and spots that could use a thorough clean. The lighting in the room was also not ideal, with one of the lamps not functioning properly. Overall, it served its purpose for a quick stay, but I think I would consider other options nearby for my next trip if I’m looking for something a bit fresher.

Basic but cozy stay
I stayed for a night and the staff were super friendly! The place had a nice, cozy vibe. But honestly, it felt kinda sketchy with loud music from the neighbors and some trashy vibes around. If you’re just looking for a cheap spot to crash, it’s fine, but the cleanliness needs a bit of work. I loved the breakfast options, though!

Cozy Stay with Potential
The place felt cozy and was conveniently located near Colonial Williamsburg, which was a big plus for our weekend getaway. However, the room could really use some updating and a deeper clean, as it felt a bit worn around the edges. If they focused on those improvements, it could be a great spot to relax.

When we arrived, the manager was very friendly, and we could check in early, which was nice. The location was great, with lots of restaurants nearby, but trust me, this place isn’t what you think it is.
It was pricey but still somewhat acceptable.
